Several large gatherings are expected to take place in the upcoming two weeks. In the past, there have been incidents of violence related to these events. If you live or travel in the downtown Tbilisi area, you should prepare for altered traffic and/or pedestrian patterns resulting in delays around these locations at these times. U.S. government personnel are advised to avoid these areas.
Actions to Take:
Avoid demonstration activity.
Exercise caution if in the vicinity of large gatherings or protests.
Monitor local media for updates.
Keep a low profile.
