A delegation led by State Minister, Mesganu Arga is taking part in the 19th Ministerial meeting of the Non-Aligned Countries in Kampala, Uganda. The Meeting is being held under the theme, 'Deepening Cooperation for Shared Global Influence' from January 17-18, discussing a number of global agenda items, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Pivotal issues in the world today, including climate change, security issues, economic and societal development matters were reflected during the keynote speeches of the representatives of various countries. Ambassador Mesganu had one-to-one sideline meetings with the delegation of Uganda, South Africa, and the United Arab Emirates. The ministerial meeting followed the NAM Summit that was held from January 14-15 and it is expected to discuss some agenda items that will lay the foundation for the discussion at the next NAM Summit. Leaders from about 120 countries across the world and about 4,000 guests from different member states have converged in Kampala for the weeklong summit that seeks to address pressing global issues and foster cooperation among member states.
