Visit of CEMGA to Kaya Sends Strong Message to Combat Units


Ouagadougou: The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces (CEMGA), Brigadier General Moussa Diallo, conducted a field visit to Kaya, in the heart of the Kuils© region, from July 24 to 26, 2025. This visit is part of the CEMGA’s tour of combat units.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the purpose of this visit was to engage in operational monitoring and to support the troops engaged in the effort to recapture national territory. Brigadier General Moussa Diallo seized the opportunity to engage in dialogue with all fighting forces in the region. During the visit, he also met with the Governor, Colonel-Major Ou©draogo Z. Blaise, and visited those wounded in operations.



On the front lines, the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) were acknowledged by the CEMGA for their courage and dedication. Beyond verbal encouragement, Brigadier General Diallo’s presence on the ground demonstrated the military hierarchy’s solidarity with operational units, bolstering the cohesion and resolve of all forces involved.
