Some Sri Lankans residing in Ethiopia said that the Easter celebration in Ethiopia is unique in terms of bringing families together.

The Sri Lankans who also celebrated the dawn of the Sinhala and Tamil New Year of 2023 in Addis Ababa today said Ethiopian Easter has been a very important day for them too as they have here for over a decade.

Among the residents, Surein Peiris said we have gathered here as one family celebrating the Sri Lankan New Year and it almost coincides with Ethiopian Easter.
