Solidarity Associations From Yagha Aid Solhan Amid Food Crisis


Sebba: Solidarity associations from Yagha have come forward to assist the people of Solhan as they face a severe food crisis. On October 9, several associations from Yagha responded to the urgent call from the local populations by delivering a substantial donation of food supplies to Solhan.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the Suudu Mballa Association, the Jam Weli Association, and the Association of Yagha Nationals Living in Chad made a heartfelt contribution to support the residents of Solhan. The aid, presented on October 9, 2025, included fifty 50-kg bags of rice, thirty-four 5-liter cans of oil, and a financial donation of forty-five thousand CFA francs.



The provincial president of the Yagha traders symbolically handed over the donation to the head of the village of Solhan. The village head expressed profound gratitude on behalf of the entire population, emphasizing the timely nature of the support. He assured that the aid would reach those most in need and thanked the FDS and VDP for their continued security efforts. Additionally, he urged the authorities to increase the number of humanitarian convoys.



The donors have indicated that a similar act of solidarity is planned for the locality of Sebba in the coming days.
