Addis Ababa: Russian Artificial Intelligence experts led by Evgeny Terekhin, the Russian Ambassador to Ethiopia has today visited Ethiopia’s Artificial Intelligence Institute.
During the visit, members of the delegation have said Ethiopia has been making substantial progress in artificial intelligence research and implementation in such a short period of time.
Specifically, the Ambassador highlighted that the strong desire of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed to make technology and modernity the foundation for development has resulted in numerous changes in a short time.
He expresses his country’s strong desire to work in collaboration with Ethiopia in the area and share its experience.
The purpose of the visiting delegation of experts was to further strengthen the technological cooperation between the two countries. The visit was received and briefed by the Deputy Director-General of the Institute, Taye Girma.
The Deputy Director-General elaborated on the institute’s substantial work in the field of artificial
intelligence that has been accomplished in a short period since its establishment.
