Ouagadougou: The Ambassadrices du Bienfait association organized a day of awareness raising this Sunday called “Youth in Action.” Highlights of the day included Quranic readings, sketches, panels, slams, and networking. Promoting the values of the Muslim religion is a priority for several associative structures.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the association “Ambassadresses du Bienfait” held a day of awareness raising called “Youth in Action” in Ouagadougou on Sunday. An activity which, according to the initiators, aims to promote the values of the Muslim religion. “We come together for the cause of Allah. It’s a way for us young people to promote the values of Islam,” says Fazatou Dao, president of the association Les Ambassadresses du Bienfait.
For her, this activity allowed the various participants who came from the localities of the country but also from other nations such as Ivory Coast, Togo, and Gabon, to strengthen their knowledge of the Muslim religion. Between Quranic readings, sketches, panels, slam, and networking, participants were able to deepen their spirituality.
Topics such as “the fear of Allah” presented by Alpha Tour© and “Commitment and spirituality of Islamic youth” presented by Ibrahim Tour© were discussed. “We explained to the participants that it is not only in public that we must fear Allah. We called on everyone to get closer to religion and seek to understand it better,” explains Ms. Dao.
Emmanuel Rouamba, a participant, welcomed the association’s initiative. “We positively appreciated the organization. Given the enthusiasm it generated, we believe that it will be beneficial to our spiritual and active lives,” he said. The Ambassadors of Goodwill association brings together around fifty members working to promote the values of Islam. It also conducts charitable activities for the benefit of the population.
