Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has extended best wishes for the celebration of Irrecha.
In his message, Abiy noted that Ireccha is a festival of justice, equality, love and unity that demonstrates fraternity and solidarity among the people.
We should, therefore, work hard to do away with obstacles and make tomorrow brighter, he stressed.
PM Abiy further called for avoiding hatred and upholding unity and fraternity.
Ethiopians should work hard together around our common values and cultures to make the future better by joining hands, he urged.
Irrecha, the Thanksgiving Day of the Oromo people, is annually celebrated to mark the end of the rainy season and the beginning of the harvesting season.
This year’s celebration will be held in Addis Ababa and Bishoftu town during the weekend.
