Orange and Confederation of African Football Sign Agreement for Mobile Broadcasting of Africa Cup of Nations

Abidjan: Orange Middle East and Africa (OMEA) and the Confederation of African Football (CAF) have announced a landmark agreement that grants mobile-only broadcasting rights for the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations, Morocco 2025. This prestigious tournament is set to take place in Morocco from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.

According to African Press Organization, the agreement enables active users of the Max it super app to watch live a curated selection of 35 matches from the tournament. This will be available to users across 13 Sub-Saharan African countries, including Burkina Faso, Botswana, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of the Congo, C´te d'Ivoire, Guinea, Madagascar, Mali, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Liberia, and Guinea-Bissau.

The broadcast package will include all group-stage matches of the national teams from qualified Orange affiliates, alongside selected fixtures from the knockout stages. These will encompass the round of 16, quarter-finals, one semi-final, the third-place play-off, and the final. This initiative ensures comprehensive and representative coverage of African football, aligning with mobile usage trends and the expectations of a new generation of connected fans across the continent.

The Max it super app integrates telecommunications, financial services, entertainment, and digital content within a single platform. Through the Max it TV universe, OMEA delivers a streamlined viewing experience tailored to the realities of African markets.
