Koudougou: The Regional Directorate of the National Employment Agency of the Center-West (DR ANPE COS), in partnership with the International Association of Students in Economics and Business (AIESEC), organized, Saturday, at Norbert Zongo University, the 2025 edition of the ‘Opportunities Fair’. The main objective of this fair was to inform students and recent graduates in Koudougou about Public Employment Services (PES) and the structures capable of connecting them to the world of work. This included presenting internship and professional project opportunities to promote their integration and career success.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the regional management of ANPE-COS, as the lead panelist, highlighted the services offered by the ANPE. The agency provides a privileged forum for discussion with career counselors and entrepreneurship professionals, who are essential for guiding young people in their training and career choices. The regional director of the ANPE, Roger Belemsigri, began with a brief history of the Territorial Workforce Office Agency (OTMO) in 1946 to the reformed ANPE of 2019. He then detailed the various opportunities and services offered by the ANPE, with particular emphasis on the Skills Assessment and Support Offices (BCA).
These offices, kindly made available to the ANPE within universities, notably that of Koudougou, aim to help students to self-assess, to identify their strengths, weaknesses and motivations, in order to build a relevant professional project in line with the job market. During the discussions, a crucial question was raised by the students: does the ANPE have the necessary financial resources to support BCA beneficiaries in the implementation of their action plans?
This question particularly concerns the ANPE’s ability to finance professional training, study trips or other initiatives recommended by professional projects, given that beneficiaries often do not have the resources to meet them.
