Lagos: Versatile Nigerian actress, Ufuoma McDermott, has opened up about her battle with stage 4 kidney disease, expressing fears for her life during the ordeal. She shared her experience in a recent TV interview, revealing that she believed she was at risk of dying due to the severity of her condition.
According to Cameroon News Agency, McDermott disclosed that she has been battling chronic kidney disease for approximately 12 years. The actress explained that she reached stage 4 because she delayed seeking medical intervention. During the interview, McDermott emphasized her desire to stay healthy for her children, stating that last year was particularly challenging as she faced the reality of her deteriorating health.
Stage 4 kidney disease signifies significant damage to the kidneys, impairing their ability to filter waste from the blood. This can lead to various health issues, including high blood pressure, anemia, and heart disease. Symptoms often include fatigue, swelling, changes in urination, back pa

Additionally, actor John Paul Odonwodo, known as Junior Pope, tragically drowned earlier this year.
