Sourou: The new provincial treasurer, Boris Sylvain Niti©ma, reassured the population during his installation that the public treasury has resumed service in Tougan, much to the delight of the people of the province.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Treasury Inspector Boris Sylvain Niti©ma was officially installed on Friday, August 25, 2025, as the provincial treasurer of Sourou by the High Commissioner of the province, D©sir© Badolo. Niti©ma assured the residents that the public treasury is now operational in Tougan.
“What I can tell the people is to rest assured. The public treasury is there. In the near future, the public treasury’s services will be available on site,” stated Niti©ma, emphasizing the commitment to providing accessible financial services.
Soki¨r© Hien, the Regional Director of the Boucle du Mouhoun Treasury, explained that the public treasury had been forced to relocate due to circumstances beyond their control, causing operations to run at a minimum for two to three years. He extended an apology to the people of Sourou for the inconvenience caused.
High Commissioner D©sir© Badolo expressed his congratulations to Abdou Rasague Maga, the former provincial treasurer, for his accomplishments despite challenges. He also pledged his support to the new treasurer, Niti©ma, to ensure the success of his mission.
As a reminder, Boris Niti©ma was appointed as the new provincial treasurer of Sourou on Wednesday, July 12, 2025, by the Council of Ministers.
