A Canada-based Nigerian singer, Haliyah Hales, says her latest music video titled ‘Pressure’ is inspired by an unapologetic desire for love, passion and a good life without pressure.

Haliyah, whose real name is Ifedolapo Haliyat Arowolo, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Lagos.

She spoke against the backdrop of her journey into music and how versatility shaped her musical career.

“I believe a lot of female artistes like myself can do better when it comes to their music by never giving up and always keep pushing.

“I broke into the over-saturated music industry using my versatility.

“Pressure is a sensual hip hop music. It was inspired by vivid expression of love and a desire for a life that knows no pressure.

“The sensational story emphasises on love, life and the urge to truly live without pressure. The song is telling us to have more fun and focus less on pressure.

“Pressure is presently gaining lots of attention in the media in Toronto and Nigeria. Due to its feel good reputation in the hiphop scene.

“Pressure is the kind of music you want to listen to after a long day or on a chill, relaxing day.

“Pressure is available on all digital platforms like Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube to mention but a few,” she said.

NAN reports that Haliyah Hales is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and model, who is also a registered nurse by profession.

Haliyah is a Toronto based independent artiste who sings in English and Yoruba; her music is a blend of Afrobeats, R&B, pop and hip-hop.

Born in Nigeria, she harnessed her passion for singing at the very young age of eight years.

She began composing songs and performing her songs for her family, friends and classmates after school hours.

Haliyah became a sensation online after she released her single ‘Whine Am’ which gained lots of attention in the media space and later spiced it up with her last sensational music video ‘Pressure’.
