Mouhoun High School Graduates Engage in Civic Activities Post-Immersion

Mouhoun: Returning from the patriotic immersion, the young high school graduates of the commune of Tcheriba initiated, on Saturday, September 27, 2025, a series of community activities combining sport, sanitation, and reforestation, in collaboration with the local authorities and the population. From the early hours of the morning, a popular cross-country race mobilized the population, marking the start of the activities. The sporting momentum then gave way to sanitation actions, carried out in particular at the Health and Social Promotion Center (CSPS) and within the town hall. In continuity, symbolic reforestation was carried out in order to contribute to the beautification of the living environment and the preservation of the environment.

According to Burkina Information Agency, this initiative is part of the vision of the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore, who makes environmental protection a national priority. The President of the special delegation (PDS) of Tcheriba, Ouesseni Logora, welcomed the initiative and recalled that the patriotic immersion program aims to strengthen the sense of responsibility and civic engagement among young people. To this end, he urged them to remain role models for their peers and to actively contribute to the development of the community.

The day ended with a visit to the Tcheriba police station. Police Commissioner Youssouf Sigue, touched by this mark of consideration, encouraged the young people to continue the dynamic of solidarity and mutual aid acquired during their training. Through these civic actions appreciated by the populations, the patriotic immerses of Tcheriba reaffirm their desire to assert themselves as actors of local development and social cohesion. They intend to continue this momentum in order to contribute to building a more resilient and prosperous community.
