Kourittenga: The Baskoure Solidarity Association, on Saturday, September 27, 2024, handed out complete school kits to more than 600 students from CP1 to Terminale, from Lalaguin, Kadgadguin, and Renga, neighborhoods in the commune of Baskoure. This gesture was made possible thanks to the support of Antoinette Sandwidi and her friends from France.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the school kit distribution ceremony was held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, in a friendly atmosphere. The initiative, encapsulated by the slogan, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world,” underscores the collaborative effort between the Baskoure Solidarity Association and its French partners.
Recipient student Sawadogo Tatiana expressed gratitude for the initiative, noting that the support will enable a smooth start to the school year. Similarly, Larissa Nadembega, another beneficiary, voiced the hope that future editions might include bicycles to ease students’ commutes.
Vice President Andre Sandwidi, representing the association, encouraged students to increase their academic efforts. “Today, we have donated school kits to more than 600 students for the 2025-2026 school year. We ask you to work hard to contribute to the development of the commune of Baskoure,” he stated.
The donation serves to alleviate the financial burdens on parents while also illustrating the Baskoure Solidarity Association’s commitment to children’s education and well-being. Participants noted that this initiative not only eases financial strains but also promotes equal opportunities among students in the municipality.
