Joy of Eid Al-Adha Celebration Goes Beyond Family: Religious Fathers

The blessed holiday of Eid Al-Adha for Muslims is a holiday of sharing joy and happiness not only with families but with all Muslims as indicated by Islamic teachings, according President of Addis Ababa Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs.

In an exclusive interview with the Ethiopian News Agency, Sheikh Sultan Aman, President Addis Ababa Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs said as Islamic law teaches us that while celebrating Eid al-Adha, Muslims should not forget their neighbors and the less privileged.

Ustaz Abu Bakr Ahmed, Advisor to the President of Ethiopian Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs on his part said that Eid al-Adha is a lesson that all Muslims should carry on the sacrifice of our father Ibrahim and the strength of their faith and devotion to Lord, so that we can achieve the goal of Eid al-Adha by consoling the poor and needy.

With regard to security and peace, Islam gives peace great importance, they said, adding that security and peace are the basis for development in the country, whether in the practice of worship or in other spheres, and in this regard, maintaining peace is not just the task of Muslims but the entire Ethiopian people, and everyone must work to achieve this across the country.

Finally, they extended best Eid Al-Adha wishes to all Ethiopian Muslims.
