Tenkodogo: The Burkinabe Pan-African Youth Movement of Tenkodogo handed over 4.5 tons of cement to the Faso Mªbo brigade on Monday to support the presidential initiative aimed at beautifying and cleaning up Burkina Faso’s major cities. The award ceremony was held in the presence of Adama Kambon©, mission officer to the Presidency of Faso for the Nakamb© region, Sami B©renger Poda, president of the special delegation of Tenkodogo, members of the structure, and the representative of the commander of the Faso Mªbo brigade.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Souleymane Minoungou, president of the Movement, emphasized that the gesture is an appeal to fellow citizens, both in the country and the diaspora, to support the ongoing action in Bobo and Ouagadougou for city development. He highlighted the Nakamb© region’s leading contribution during the month of solidarity in 2024 and expressed the desire to outperform the other sixteen regions in supporting the Faso Mªbo initiative.
The Movement’s Secretary General, Touwend-Rinda C©lestin Bouda, expressed satisfaction, stating that despite challenges, Burkina Faso is progressing and innovating. He assured that this donation is only the first phase, and the Movement’s members and supporters are actively mobilizing resources for continued contributions.
Sami B©renger Poda, president of the Tenkodogo special delegation, who received the donation, praised the Movement’s action, expressing pride in the organization’s civic contributions. He acknowledged the Movement’s role in supporting the implementation of guidelines set by His Excellency Captain Ibrahim Traor©. Poda also called on other civil society actors to emulate the Movement’s initiative and support national development efforts.
