Ethiopian Airlines Resumes Direct Flights To Pakistan Tonight

Ethiopian Airlines Launched flights to Karachi, commercial city of Pakistan, tonight.

In its first flight, a trade and investment delegation, composed of high ranking of government officials and led by State Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Mesganu Arega, left for Karachi.

The delegation is expected to conclude various agreements reached between the two countries and sign MoU(Memorandum of Understanding) on tourism and technology spheres.

During the occasion,Lemma Yadecha, Chief Commercial Officer of Ethiopian said that the launching of the flight to Karachi will strengthen the country’s economic partnerships.

In particular, Ethiopian flights to Karachi will boost investments and flow of tourists.

Pakistan Ambassador to Ethiopia, Shozab Abas, on his part said he was pleased by the start of the flight following fruitful discussions and agreements between the two countries.

Ethiopia will fly four times per week to Karachi and it will be the 37th destination of Ethiopian Airlines in Asia

Ethiopian first served Karachi from July 1966 to December 1971, and resumed the service from June 1993 until July 2004.
