Ethiopia and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan had a bilateral discussion in Islamabad on potential areas of economic cooperation. The Ethiopian delegation was led by State Minister of Finance, Eyob Tekalign and the Pakistan mission was led by Finance Minister of Pakistan, Shamshad Akhtar. Governor of the State Bank of Pakistan, Jameel Ahmad, and senior officials from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan's Ministry of Finance were also present during the high-level meeting between the two countries. Both sides held a good conversation on the subjects of mutual interest including the bilateral cooperation in financial sector of both nations, according to Pakistan Embassy in Ethiopia.
