Douala: mother, son among three drug traffickers arrested

The unnamed woman who posed as a water vendor, also sold the contraband good in small doses to her clients according to gendarmes.

Mbang Eto, the Douala 1 gendarmerie company commander said: “Their arrest came after an informant hinted us of drug trafficking in the area. I sent my men to verify if the information was true. The feedback was positive. We then deployed our men who got hold of the three suspects”.

The trio was said to have about 50 kilograms of cannabis when they were arrested at the Ngonsoa Market in Douala’s New Bell area.

Some 50kilograms of cannabis have been seized from three suspected drug traffickers arrested at the Ngonsoa Market in New Bell, Douala 2 sub-division by Gendarmes.

The suspects allegedly got their supplies from the North West, West and South West regions with the gendarmes pointing out that the collaboration of the public was pivotal in making these arrests.
