Djiguiya Tournament: The Best of Accart-ville Triumphs at 4th Edition


Bobo-dioulasso: The Djiguiya tournament made a return this year for its 4th edition, following a hiatus, featuring a full roster of 32 teams. The final showdown was between Collectif du secteur 21 and The Best d’Accart-ville, taking place on Saturday, September 27, 2025, in Bobo-Dioulasso.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the final match attracted a large audience, with the two teams competing intensely over two twenty-minute periods. The Best d’Accart-ville, demonstrating strategic prowess, secured a decisive victory with a score of 3-0, claiming the championship trophy for this edition.



The tournament was not just about the competition; it also served as a platform to foster social cohesion. Promoter Alpha Yago highlighted the successful achievement of this goal, noting the enthusiasm from the participants and the audience throughout the event. Yago expressed gratitude towards the partners and commended the teams for their fair play, while emphasizing the importance of continuing this initiative to strengthen community ties through football.



The Best of Accart-ville, as the champion, received a ball, a set of jerseys, a prize of 300,000 CFA francs, and the trophy. Collectif du secteur 21, the runners-up, were awarded a ball and 150,000 CFA francs. Additional accolades were given to the best player, best goalkeeper, the fair play team, and the third-place team, each receiving sports kits and cash prizes.



The 4th edition of the Djiguiya tournament left a lasting impression for its quality gameplay and the camaraderie it fostered. Plans are already underway for the 5th edition in 2026.
