Congolese Prime Minister Lauds President of Faso’s Leadership and Seeks Support for UNESCO Candidacy


Ouagadougou: The President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor©, welcomed Prime Minister Anatole Collinet Makosso of the Republic of Congo for an audience, during which the Congolese envoy delivered a special message from President D©nis Sassou-N’Guesso. The message expressed admiration and support for President Traor©’s leadership.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the Congolese Prime Minister emphasized President Sassou-N’Guesso’s appreciation for President Traor©’s dedication and leadership. The message was intended to assure Burkinabe authorities of Congo’s support and to bolster confidence in ongoing collaborations.



The discussions highlighted the Congolese authorities’ acknowledgment of President Traor©’s efforts in various reforms, particularly in agriculture, economic development, social affairs, and infrastructure. This admiration was conveyed as a testament to the positive relations between the two nations.



Additionally, the meeting served as a platform for the Republic of Congo to seek Burkina Faso’s backing for Edouard Firmin Makoto’s candidacy for the role of Director-General at UNESCO. Prime Minister Makosso expressed satisfaction with the audience, noting President Traor©’s attentive reception of their request.
