Burkina Police Academy Graduates 9th Class of Commissioners and Officers


Pabr©: The official graduation ceremony for the 9th class of police commissioners and officers from the Police Academy was held in Pabr© under the theme: ‘Place of police schools in a context of geopolitical reconfiguration and the fight against terrorism.’



According to Burkina Information Agency, the event took place under the high patronage of the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor©, represented by Prime Minister Jean-Emmanuel Ou©draogo. The 9th promotion of the police academy emphasized African solidarity and excellence in training, which are key values of the institution.



Prime Minister Jean Emmanuel OUEDRAOGO highlighted the purpose of the Police Academy as an institution that trains police officers and personnel to strengthen both operational and design-level command. He urged the graduates, on behalf of Captain Ibrahim Traor©, to embody values such as rigor, sacrifice, duty, and loyalty.



Minister of Security, Mahamadou Sana, noted that the graduating class represents the partnership between Burkina Faso and the Republic of Chad, embodying both African solidarity and excellence in training. He congratulated the Police Academy for its work, which is done quietly and away from the spotlight.



The General Delegate of the 9th class, student police commissioner Sakado Edmond Ou©draogo, reflected on the two years of training, which included intense physical and psychological tests, theoretical and practical courses, and internships. He described the day as a triumph over obstacles and a deep understanding of their training.



The class consists of 181 students, with 84 student police commissioners, including 30 Burkinabe and 54 Chadians, and 97 student police officers, including 70 Burkinabe and 27 Chadians. The top student of the class is Police Commissioner Olivier NANA, who achieved an average of 16.05 out of 20.



The Police Academy, from July 2015 to July 2025, marks a decade of dedication to fostering a culture of professional excellence.
