Ouagadougou: Staff of the Higher Council for Communication (CSC), in partnership with the SOS Sang association, organized a blood donation session in Ouagadougou on Thursday to show solidarity with patients in distress, AIB noted.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the representative of the CSC President, Mr. Abdoul Karim Oulezan Banao, emphasized that this initiative aligns with the general policy of the President of Faso, aiming to support the Ministry of Health in its efforts to facilitate blood donation for saving lives. He encouraged those hesitant about donating blood to overcome their fears, highlighting the act as not only patriotic but also a significant social responsibility.
Tapsoba W. Herv©, the human resources director at CSC, underscored the critical importance of blood donation, especially during the malaria season when the demand for blood increases. He stated, “Donating blood is very important. It saves lives. Since we are in a malaria period, many patients need it.” Herv© urged others to consider the unpredictability of life and the necessity of placing themselves in the shoes of those in need, reinforcing the significance of the gesture during this period.
