Ouagadougou: The populations of the city of Bogande responded massively this Saturday, October 11, 2025, to the call of the prefect, president of the special municipal delegation, Taugolo Pare. This sanitation day, organized as part of the National Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation, brought together administrative authorities, humanitarian partners, and residents, united around the same objective: to make the city clean and promote civic spirit.
According to Burkina Information Agency, from the early hours of the morning, brooms, rakes, dabas, shovels, and machetes in hand, the inhabitants of the city of Bogande stormed the main roads and public spaces of the city. Under the coordination of the prefect and president of the special municipal delegation of Bogande, Taugolo Pare, the mobilization took an exemplary turn, reflecting the citizens’ support for the national dynamic of patriotic commitment. From the administrative district, the prefecture to SONAGESS, including the town hall, the tax office, Radio Eveil, the urban CSPS 1, the gutters of sector 1, and the central market, no corner was left behind. In a friendly and supportive atmosphere, the participants joined forces to rid the city of garbage and invasive weeds. Representatives of humanitarian partners present in the locality also took part in this civic action, demonstrating their commitment alongside local authorities for a healthy living environment.
The High Commissioner of the Gnagna province, Jean Baptiste Beogo, who came to encourage the participants, praised the strong mobilization and congratulated the municipal authorities for the leadership they demonstrated. He urged the population to maintain this momentum beyond the dedicated days, to make cleanliness and citizen participation a daily reflex. The notable presence of the presidents of the special delegations of Coalla and Liptougou gave the activity a provincial feel, reinforcing the message of cohesion and solidarity around local development. “You are patriots, that’s what the President of Faso wants, that everyone commits to the homeland,” said the president of the special municipal delegation of Bogande, Taugolo Pare. He then thanked all the participants in the activity.
This day, beyond the action of sanitation, will have above all made it possible to revive the feeling of belonging and collective commitment to the service of the nation, in accordance with the spirit of the National Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation.
