Bobo-dioulasso: Alumni of the 11th class of the National Institute for the Training of Education Personnel (INFPE), formerly ENEP of Bobo-Dioulasso, gathered to celebrate their twenty years of service on July 25 and 26, 2025, at their former school grounds.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony, held under the theme “Two decades in the service of national education: challenges and perspectives,” saw the presence of the Minister of Basic Education, Literacy and Promotion of National Languages, the governor of the Guiriko region, the commander of the 2nd military region, and several teachers. The event featured a variety of activities including artistic performances, reforestation, an aerobics session, and a gala match between the 11th promotion and the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), which ended in a victory for the FDS on penalties (1 shot against 0).
As part of the celebration, the 11th graduating class presented certificates of appreciation to their former ENEP instructors, a gesture that was well-received by all attendees. The minister commended the class on their progress and encouraged them to continue playing a pioneering role in enhancing the national education system. He also took the opportunity to discuss ongoing reforms in his department aimed at promoting civic-mindedness, patriotism, and the development of model citizens.
Ousmane Bamogo, president of the organizing committee, recounted the unique journey of the 11th class, highlighting their accelerated training course of less than six months, which was taught using modules that were not yet finalized at the time. Despite these challenges, the class persevered and successfully integrated into the education system.
Two decades on, the alumni express pride in their achievements and a commitment to supporting the ministry’s efforts to improve the efficiency of Burkinabe schools. The commemoration also served as a moment for class members to reinforce their bonds and look towards the future with optimism and dedication.
