Monrovia: Ambassador Yin Chengwu attended the Liberia Technology Summit 2025, which took place on July 21. During the summit, Ambassador Yin delivered a speech alongside other notable attendees, including Hon. Haja Mamaka Bility, Acting Minister of States, Hon. Augustine K. Ngafuan, Minister of Finance and Development Planning, and Hon. Sekou M. Kromah, Minister of Post and Telecommunications. The event also saw participation from representatives of relevant UN agencies and diplomatic missions in Liberia.
According to African Press Organization, Ambassador Yin highlighted the outcomes of the Ministerial Meeting of Coordinators on the Implementation of the Follow-up Actions of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation. He also discussed China's achievements in science and technology. Ambassador Yin announced China's plans to establish a global scientific research fund and to increase science and technology assistance to developing countries. He emphasized that these initiatives are aimed at ensuring technological progress benefits all humanity.
Moreover, Ambassador Yin expressed China's willingness to strengthen scientific and technological innovation cooperation with Liberia. He underscored the potential for this cooperation to become a new engine of the China-Liberia strategic partnership, fostering shared growth and development in the field of technology.
