Ouagadougou: The Koudougou branch of the Association of Muslim Students of Burkina Faso (AEEMB) extended its support to the presidential initiative Faso Mªbo by donating approximately a hundred packs of water and participating in construction activities. This initiative took place in Ouagadougou, where AEEMB members engaged in making paving stones and organizing bricks.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the Permanent Secretary of the Koudougou summer camps, Karim Tond©, explained that the gesture was part of a summer camp activity focused on the theme “Muslim children and the culture of patriotism.” The initiative aimed to transform theoretical lessons on patriotism into practical experience for the children involved, demonstrating the importance of contributing to the nation’s development.
AEEMB members, alongside children, actively participated in the fieldwork by loading wheelbarrows with sand and arranging bricks, showcasing their dedication to the country. “I think the association members and the children all participated, and that was the goal,” remarked Mr. Tond©. He emphasized that although the contribution was modest, it was significant as it included the children’s involvement, supported by the organizers. The donation of 100 bags of water was highlighted as a meaningful contribution to alleviate the workers’ thirst.
Hamado Zougnoma, the director of the organizing committee, highlighted the importance of unity in creating initiatives and building the nation. He stressed the necessity of setting an example for children as they represent the future of the country.
