Addis Ababa City Administration Extends Additional Aid to Landslide Victims in South Ethiopia Region


Addis Ababa: Addis Ababa City Administration has provided a second round of support to those affected by the devastating landslide in Geze Gofa District, Gofa Zone of South Ethiopia region.

The total aid package, valued at over 51 million Birr, includes essential supplies such as food, medicine, clothing, and other vital items.

The assistance was handed over to the victims by Addis Ababa City Administration Youth and Sports Bureau Head, Belay Dejen, in the presence of Chief Administrator of the South Ethiopia region, Tilahun Kebede

On the occasion, Belay expressed deep sorrow for the loss of life and pledged continued support from the city administration.

The provided aid is specifically tailored to meet the immediate needs of children, including nutritious food.

Chief Administrator Tilahun on his behalf commended Addis Ababa City for its unwavering support since the disaster struck.

He expressed gratitude for the city’s solidarity with the affected community.
